BUILT BY CHUNKYOAK.COM The length of the table is about 120cm and the width of the table is 69cm approx, dependant on the individual sleeper. The table itself is made from solid oak and has great shakes and splits to give very distinctive markings although same in design your coffee table will be unique because the shape and knotting of the beams used changes from table to table. Green Oak has a density of about 0.75 g/cm³, has a great strength and hardness, and is very resistant to insect and fungal attack because of its high tannin content. It also has very attractive grain markings FSC Certified Green Oak The oak comes from an FSC certified mill and is freshly cut. When made into a furniture piece the oak will move over a period of time as the moisture content equalizes with its surroundings. This process can be slowed to reduce the splitting effect by regularly applying a shellac based sanding sealer thus reducing the timbers rate of change. Made To Order All our furniture pieces are made to order, please allow for this when purchasing. Allow five working days for construction and three working days for delivery. We aim to hit below these targets but due to demand this can get a little hectic, around the busy seasons. How Its Delivered The furniture is wrapped in multiple parcels. Typically the parcels are layered in large bubble wrap then wrapped in pallet wrap, hopefully making the beams drop proof. What You Need To Put Together The beams arrive in finished form but are heavy in the region of 30kg per 120cm lengths, so please be careful when lifting and use competent lifting technique while in good health. An electric drill is also a massive help for putting the bracketing on, assembly can be done with a screw driver but is seriously hard work.. good luck with that. Dependant on the piece of furniture a chisel, sander etc etc may come in handy especially for installing a fire surround as there are multiple options on how to go about this.
